2023 Avon Memorial Day Tournament Announcement
THE AVON SOCCER CLUB is pleased to announce its 33rd Annual Memorial Day Soccer
Tournament. On behalf of our membership, we invite your club or association to apply for entrance to our 2023 tournament. This is a girls and boys tournament.
GENERAL This tournament is sanctioned by the CJSA. The age groupings for the tournament follow the CJSA rules. The following ages are included:
Under 9 Under 10 Under 11 Under 12 Under 13 Under 14/15 Under 16/17
Under 9 & 10 will play 7 V 7 and will be non-results oriented. U11 and U12 will play 9 V 9 and U13 and above will play 11 V 11 and will be results oriented.
WHERE Fisher Meadows - 800 Old Farms Road, Avon, CT 06001
WHEN Competition will begin on Saturday, May 27, 2023, and will conclude on Sunday, May
28, 2023 (in the event of rain, we will play on Monday, May 29, 2023).
WHAT All efforts will be made to have each participating team play 5 games in a round
robin format. Winners and runners up will receive individual trophies, in age groups U11 – U17.
Participation medals will be given for all players on U9 & U10 teams. All players will receive a
tournament patch. Team patches will be exchanged after each game.
WHO Applications are invited from classic teams that are duly registered with their State,
Provincial or National Association. U9 & U10 shall consist of no more than 12 players, U11 & U12 shall consist of no more than 18 players and U13 to U16 may have no more than 24 players. Proof of age will be by US Youth player pass or State or National Association. Note: If
required by your state or region, a permission to travel form will be required to
participate.
No guest players allowed.
Fees Early Bird - $605 for Application’s dated before April 1, 2023
Regular Price - $625 for Application’s dated April 1 to May 5, 2023
